HTC Evo Design 4G for Boost Mobile Now Available

Prepaid has never looked so good, 4G( WiMax) and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich are now rocking it on Boost Mobile. The device is priced at an affordable $299.99 off contract. So is it worth it? They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Let's have a look at the specs.
  • Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich
  • HTC Sense 3.6
  • 4" qHD 540 x 960 pixels, 4.0 inches (~275 ppi pixel density)
  • 1.2 Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon S2 Processor
  • 4 GB Rom Memory, 768 MB Ram, 8 GB Micro SD Card included
  • 1520 mAh Lithium-Ion battery with up to 6hrs talk time
  • 5 MP Rear Facing Camera w/Autofocus and LED flash
  • 1.3 MP Front Facing Camera
  • 720p HD Video Recording
  • Gorilla Glass
  • 2G CDMA 800 / 1900 GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
  • 3G CDMA2000 1xEV-DO HSDPA 2100
  • 4G WiMax
  • Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, WiMAX 802.16 e, Wi-Fi hotspot, DLNA
So it stacks up pretty well in the prepaid world. I currently own the HTC Hero S which is US Cellulars equivalent of this device sans the 4G and I must say it is a very smooth Android smartphone. It has an aluminum unibody design with a very small battery door (which by the way is a pain to remove the first couple times). Overall this is a great device, not much development in the custom Rom world though (if your into that sort of thing), lets hope that soon changes.
